S.R.Nagappa Shetty Memorial National College of Applied Sciences (SRNMNC) was established in the year 1991 by the National Education Society. a pioneer society in Malnad Region founded by freedom fighters of a high repute. The college is named in the honour of Late. S.R.Nagappa Shetty, the founder secretary of N.E.S. This is the unique college of applied sciences. affiliated to Kuvempu University. and recognised by government of Karnataka having the credit of launching several applied science disciplines in the undergraduate level. The college has a permanent affiliation from the Kuvempu University

NAAC Accreditation

also the first private college in the state to undergo NAAC accreditation and obtaining B+ level. The college campus is spread over an area of about 10 acres having all amenities to cater the needs of about 600 students and 50 staff members. More than 5200 graduates and Post graduates in B.Sc. B.C.A and P.G.D.C.A. have passed out from this college and have made significant contribution in other post graduate institutions, Industry, various organisations and government departments is India and abroad.

Nagappa Shetty Memorial National College of Applied Sciences (SRNMNC) has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members. Till today more than 5200 graduates have passed out of this institution and have gained prestigious positions in India and abroad.

Within a short span of time the college has developed its infrastructural facilities in a planned manner. All laboratories in the college are procured with latest and modern equipments, along with a good computer centre with internet accessibility. The college has an excellent library with all the necessary, latest books and science journals and computerised accessibility. You also have book bank scheme where three additional books will be provided.

The college has a placement cell, serving the needs of placement and training to the students, supervised by a dynamic and dedicated placement officer. Even though Shivamogga is far off from the capital city Bangalore, every year many of our students have been identified by IT companies like Wipro, TCS, L & T, Infosys, Gallagher & BT and Pharma companies like Biocon, Microlabs, General, Himalayan Drug and PJ Margo through the placement cell.

The college is encouraging the cultural and sports activities supervised by qualified staff members. Many of our students have participated and gained medals both at intercollegiate, university levels and inter university meets. The college also has a NSS unit to provide a platform to the students to serve the society. Many of our NSS volunteers have attended several University. State and National level NSS camps.

“Spandana” students counseling centre in the college serves to eliminate many personal and other problems related to studies in students.
